Stained Glass Workshop
with Heather Burgess

The Stained Glass Workshop is an opportunity to hang out with other Stained Glass Crafters and make some amazing art while you're at it.
The workshop is designed for Stained Glass Crafters who have taken the Stained Glass for Beginners class with Heather Burgess previously and/or have intermediate level glass experience with stained glass.
Work on a current project or start a new one! If you have an idea and not sure of a pattern, reach out to Heather. She may have a pattern and/or can create a stained glass pattern for you for the workshop.

There will be patterns and glass & tools and equipment available for use, but crafters are encouraged to bring their own tools, solder, black backed copper foil or other, and stained glass.
UTC AE has some glass of assorted colors, but it isn't a huge selection and there aren't a lot of larger pieces. So if you have colors in mind, you should bring that color glass with you.
Heather will be on hand to offer assistance, answer any questions, and share techniques.
Bring a bag lunch, snack and/or beverage and enjoy the workshop. We look forward to meeting you and seeing the stained glass art you create.

All Things Chocolate!

All Things Chocolate!
Why not! Let’s get together for a three-hour class to go over some of my favorite chocolate treats. We will go over how to make homemade chocolate, turtles, peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, chocolate covered pretzels, and coconut clusters. There will be some to sample.
Students will make chocolate bombs for that cold winter day. We will also make chocolate ice cream, which will be a great recipe for a summer nights. We will end with making homemade chocolate taffy … pulling and creating cool silly shapes. We will learn the basic tools and materials, ingredients, recipes, and step-by-step process. Impress everyone with some new recipes that I am sure will be their favorites!
Anyone 8-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Baby Pack Basket Course

Baby Pack Basket Course
This class is for anyone! Great activity to do over the Winter Break!
All level weavers are welcome EVEN if you have never weaved! Step by step instruction. Weave a 6” tall basket with premium reed.
Included reed, strap, and instruction.
Anyone 8-17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Bees, Honey, and Wax - OH MY!

Bees, Honey, & Wax - OH MY!
Learn a little of the basics of the honeybee and beekeeping. In the class we will learn how to make some tasty food with honey including baklava, fried ice cream, and even honey drops. Samples of some of my favorite honey snacks will be available along with some raw honey from my bees. We will also learn how to make dip candles and wax cloth food wraps.
All students will walk away with a candle and a wax cloth and some really awesome skills and knowledge.
Anyone 8-17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Small Pack Basket Course

Small Pack Basket Course
All level weavers are welcome EVEN if you have never weaved! Weave a 10-12” tall basket with premium reed.These are beautiful baskets perfect for a child or yourself. Straps are adjust able for child to adults.
Great gift for that someone special!
$65 fee includes: reed, pine feet, plywood base, strap, and instruction
Anyone 12-17 must be accompanied with an adult.
Stained Glass "Scrappy House" Ornaments

Please join us making the cutest little Stained Glass "Scrappy House" ornaments. You will learn the art of foiling, soldering, and wire bending. You will complete at least one ornament if not more in this 2.5 hour evening class.
Eye protection is available, but if you prefer to bring your own, please feel free to do so. Closed toe shoes are required. Masks are optional.
Stained Glass Beginners
with Heather Burgess

The Stained Glass course is 2-evening classes for beginners or for those who need a refresher. You will learn all the fundamentals and steps of foiled stained glass to create a beautiful sun catcher.
Please wear comfortable clothes. Closed toe shoes are required. Eye protection is available, but if you prefer to bring your own, please do so. Also, if you have an apron, please bring one to class.
Must be 18 years of age or older. Masks are optional at this time.
