This course is part of our new Homeowner Do-It-Yourself Series. Take them separately or mix and match and save $25 on each class after your first. This course is designed to provide homeowners with all the information they need to understand the workings of their home electrical system. Projects include learning proper wiring techniques, how to install switches and outlets, troubleshooting, as well as the most recent National Electrical Codes. 

Maine Outdoor Preparedness

This course is a six-week (two hours per week) course designed to develop requisite field craft skills for safety and comfort in the Maine outdoor environment for 12 students. This course culminates in a solo outdoor canoe adventure in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Course includes: an introduction to Maine’s natural environment, fire and shelter building, land navigation using a map, compass and GPS, meal preparation in an austere environment, orientation to canoe paddling, the psychology of being alone, overnight solo canoe adventure in the AWW, and a photo journal peer presentation.
