Structural Welding 1
with Mark Richards
Structural Welding I teaches students with little or no welding experience how to correctly and safely use cutting equipment, power tools, and welding equipment operated in shielded metal arc welding, commonly known as stick welding.
Students spend extensive time hands-on in the welding shop. Students will learn how to create multi-pass fillets with E6010 and E7019 electrodes in all positions and on a variety of joint types, with emphasis on creating quality welds.
General shop, personal protection equipment, welding and other equipment safety training will be completed.
Cost includes all welding materials.
Testing for a Welding Certification is not offered at UTC.
WELDING SAFETY APPAREL
